Why We Started

Why We Started

A note from the kitchen table.

I grew up in a house where the cast iron skillet was older than my parents. My grandmother seasoned it, my mother seasoned it, and one day it will be mine. That kind of inheritance is rare now, and we wanted to build a small shop that took the idea seriously.

The problem we wanted to solve

Most home goods are made to be replaced. We wanted to make things that you would rather keep — and could.

Who we are for

People who cook at home. People who keep a dog bed in the living room. People who would rather buy one linen tea towel than five polyester ones. People who care about where the thing came from.

What we are not

We are not a marketplace. We are not drop-shipped from a warehouse three time zones away. Every product is sourced from a small workshop we have a relationship with, and most of them have a name attached.
