Bamboo Pet Bowl Set — 2 Bowls, Non-Slip, Stainless Lined
Two bamboo-rimmed pet bowls — a 1.5-cup bowl for cats or small dogs, and a 4-cup bowl for medium to large dogs. The rim is bamboo with a food-safe oil finish, and the interior is a removable 18/8 stainless steel insert. The bamboo gives the bowls the warm look of a piece of furniture; the stainless means the actual bowl is dishwasher safe, doesn't absorb odors, and won't hold bacteria the way a plastic bowl can.
The base has a silicone ring that grips hardwood, tile, and low-pile carpet — the bowl stays put when a 60-lb dog decides to shove it across the kitchen for the last bit of kibble. The angled stand is roughly 4° tilted, which has been shown in veterinary studies to be a more comfortable eating angle for large dogs (less neck strain, less air swallowed with food).

Care Stainless steel inserts are top-rack dishwasher safe. Wipe bamboo rim with a damp cloth; re-oil every 3–4 months with food-grade mineral oil.

The story Our test dog Sully is a 75-lb Lab who eats like he's worried the food will be taken away. We went through three plastic bowls in two years — two were chewed and one had developed a smell we couldn't get out. The first bamboo-rimmed bowl we tested lasted four years, two of them in a household with a 9-month-old puppy who used it as a teether. The bamboo is fine. The puppy grew out of it.
