Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls — Set of 5 with Lids

A set of five brushed stainless steel mixing bowls, sized from 1 quart up to 7 quarts, that nest into a single stack roughly the size of the largest bowl on its own. The bases have a food-grade silicone ring on the bottom, which is the difference between a bowl that slides around the counter when you whisk and one that stays put. The rims are rolled — a small detail that keeps them from feeling sharp when you grip them with wet hands.

Each bowl comes with a clear, BPA-free plastic lid that snaps on tight enough to marinate a chicken in the fridge or take potato salad to a cookout. The lids don't make the bowls airtight for long-term storage, but for the use cases that matter — overnight marinating, fridge transport, keeping cut onions from stinking up the whole fridge — they hold. The bowls themselves are dishwasher safe, oven safe to 500°F, and light enough to hold with one hand even at the 7-quart size.

The story We tested bowls from six different factories before we found one that didn't ring like a bell when you dropped a whisk in. The fix turned out to be the gauge — the cheap ones were 0.4 mm, the good ones 0.8 mm. Thicker walls, quieter kitchen.
