Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping & delivery

Do you ship internationally?

Currently we ship to the United States (all 50 states) and Canada. We're working on expanding to the UK and EU — sign up for our newsletter and we'll let you know when that's live.

How long does order production take?

Most of our catalog is in-stock and ready to ship within 1-2 business days. A small number of items (some ceramic and seasonal pieces) are made-to-order with a 5-10 business day lead time — those items will note the lead time on the product page.

What is your shipping carrier?

We ship via USPS and UPS, depending on the size and destination of your order. Tracking is sent to your email the day your order ships.

Returns & refunds

Do you accept returns?

Yes. Unused, unopened items can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. See our full return policy for details on damaged or made-to-order items.

What about damaged or defective items?

Email us at hello@hearthandhidegoods.com with a photo within 7 days of delivery. We'll send a replacement at no cost or issue a full refund — your choice.

Products

What is the warranty on cast iron?

Our cast iron is guaranteed for life against manufacturing defects. If the seasoning wears off, if the handle loosens, if the pan cracks under normal use — we replace it. Email us.

Do the pet beds come in different sizes?

Yes — small (up to 25 lbs), medium (25-60 lbs), large (60-90 lbs), and extra-large (90+ lbs). The orthopedic insert is the same density across sizes; only the cover dimensions change.

Are your products dishwasher safe?

Cast iron: never. Linen: yes, on cold gentle. Ceramics: most are, but hand washing extends the life of hand-glazed pieces. Detailed care notes are on the Hearth Tips page.

Materials & sourcing

Where is your cast iron made?

Our cast iron is sand-cast in a small family foundry in the United States. Each pan is hand-finished and pre-seasoned with organic flaxseed oil before it ships.

Where does your linen come from?

Our linen is woven from European flax, then stonewashed for softness in a small facility in Portugal.

Is your stoneware lead-free?

Yes. All our ceramics are tested lead-free and cadmium-free, and meet FDA and California Prop 65 standards for food contact.
